The 2010 F-150 SVT Raptor is where the whole desert-truck craze started. Ford took a work truck, widened the track by roughly seven inches, bolted on long-travel Fox internal-bypass shocks and a fender-to-fender flared front end, and sold it as a factory pre-runner you could drive off the lot. This is the debut model year — the first Raptor there ever was.

One honest caveat up front: 2010 is the 5.4-liter Triton V8 year. That three-valve motor makes 310 hp, and it's the softer of the two engines Ford offered in the first generation — the 411-hp 6.2L that most enthusiasts chase arrived for 2011 (and on a handful of late-2010 SuperCabs). Backed by a 6-speed automatic and part-time 4WD, the 5.4 Raptor is still a genuinely capable, genuinely fun truck; it just isn't the powerhouse the later 6.2 trucks are.

Why it matters

First model years matter, and first-gen Raptors (2010-2014) have quietly become collector trucks — clean examples are appreciating rather than depreciating, and the 2010 is the one that started it. Values swing hard on mileage and condition, and Fanathem hasn't published this truck's odometer, which is the single biggest variable in what it's actually worth (see the value notes).

The fine print worth knowing

That's a steep price for one shot at a used truck, so go in eyes open.
