Privacy Policy

Who we are

GiveawayCars.com ("GiveawayCars," "we"), operated by Manna Driven Investments LLC, is an independent editorial directory of third-party car giveaways. Manna Driven Investments LLC is the data controller for the information described here. Questions or requests: support@giveawaycars.com.

What we collect

Newsletter subscribers: your email address and signup source; and, as proof that you opted in, a consent record — the date and time, your IP address and browser user-agent, the exact wording you agreed to, and your confirmation that you are 18 or older. We use this to send and manage the newsletter, including the confirmation email and the occasional service message about your subscription.

Signup attribution: so we know which of our own posts, links, or ad campaigns bring readers in, we also record with your subscription the marketing tags on the link you arrived through (the standard utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and utm_term parameters, if any) and which page on our site you signed up from. These are our own campaign labels — we use them only to measure what's working, and they're deleted when your subscriber record is.

Outbound clicks: when you click through to a giveaway operator we log the click (which listing or brand, when, the on-site link it came from, and your browser user-agent) to report aggregate traffic to operators. To estimate how many distinct people clicked — without identifying anyone — we derive a short-lived, one-way fingerprint that rotates daily and cannot be traced back to you; we do not store your IP address with these click logs. They aren't tied to your name or email.

Advertiser inquiries: whatever you submit through the advertise form, used to respond to you.

Why we can use it (legal basis)

We send the newsletter on the basis of your consent, given at signup and confirmed by the link we email you. You can withdraw it at any time (see "Your choices"), and withdrawing is as easy as giving it. We also process limited data where we have a legitimate interest (keeping the site secure, preventing abuse, and understanding aggregate usage) or to comply with a legal obligation.

Who processes it

We don't run our own mail or database servers. These US-based providers process this data on our behalf, under their data-processing terms:

  • Resend — sends the email (privacy).
  • Supabase — stores the subscriber list and site data (privacy).
  • Vercel — hosts the site and provides privacy-friendly, cookieless, aggregate traffic analytics (privacy).

Data is stored in the United States. If you subscribe from outside the US, you consent to that transfer; where required, our providers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.

When we may disclose information

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith it's required by law or valid legal process; to enforce our terms or protect the rights, safety, or property of GiveawayCars, our users, or others; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets — in which case we'll require the recipient to honor this policy. We do not otherwise share your personal information.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't rent or trade your email or handle giveaway entries — entering happens on the operator's site under their privacy policy, which you should read. When we run ad campaigns we do use the advertising pixel(s) described under "Advertising & analytics" below, which share limited event data with the ad platform; some privacy laws treat that as a "share." You can opt out (see "Your choices").

How long we keep it

We keep your details while you're subscribed. When you unsubscribe we stop emailing you immediately and keep a minimal suppression record (so we never email you again). Ask us to delete your data entirely and we'll purge it within 30 days, other than the minimum needed to honor your opt-out or as the law requires.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your data — encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and least-privilege access to the subscriber list. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach ever affects your information, we'll notify you as required by applicable law.

Your choices

Every email includes one-click unsubscribe that takes effect immediately. You can also ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or to withdraw consent — use our privacy request form or email support@giveawaycars.com, and we'll respond within 30 days. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Age

GiveawayCars is intended for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13; if you believe a child has subscribed, email us and we'll delete it.

Advertising & analytics

We measure site usage with Vercel Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages and links are popular. It is cookieless, collects only aggregate data, and does not build a profile of you or track you across other websites.

While we're running ad campaigns, we also load the following to measure and improve those ads. These set cookies and share limited event data (such as that you visited a page or subscribed) with the platform, which may use it to measure ad performance and build audiences:

  • Meta Pixel — Facebook/Instagram ad measurement (privacy).

You can opt out with your browser's tracking controls or a Global Privacy Control signal, and you can ask us to stop (see "Your choices"). We only enable these while campaigns are active.

Cookies

The only cookie we set ourselves is an essential session cookie for the site operator's admin login — it isn't set for regular visitors. Our own site analytics are cookieless. When ad campaigns are running, the advertising pixel(s) above also set cookies for ad measurement.

Changes & contact

We may update this policy; we'll change the effective date above and, for material changes, make reasonable efforts to notify subscribers or post a notice. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy. Questions: support@giveawaycars.com.
