It's a 2019 F-150 XL — the fleet-spec base trim, the one that leaves the factory with the cheap wheels and the rubber floor — which is exactly the right starting point for a Lightning tribute. The 5.0-liter Coyote is still under the hood, now wearing a Whipple Stage 2 kit: a 3.0-liter blower, a 132mm billet oval throttle body, a dual-core intercooler fed by an oversized heat exchanger and a high-flow pump. Downstream there's a high-flow Y-pipe and high-flow cats, plus a lightweight two-piece driveshaft to take some rotating mass out of the equation.

The chassis got the traditional street-truck treatment rather than a lift: Belltech lowering suspension, CalTracs traction bars to keep the rear leaf springs from wrapping up under boost, and five-spoke Lightning tribute wheels on Nittos. It's 2WD, backed by the 10-speed automatic, finished in Oxford White with a cab spoiler, LED lighting, tinted glass, a bed cover and a spray-in liner. The odometer reads 26,000 miles.

Why it matters

Ford never built a modern Lightning. It has flirted with the idea — there's now a factory-blessed Whipple kit for the Lobo — but the single-purpose, rear-drive, boosted half-ton has been a build-it-yourself proposition for twenty years, and this is a clean interpretation of it. The XL trim is the tell that whoever specced this understood the assignment: no chrome, no leather, no four-wheel drive dragging around a transfer case, just the V8 and a short bed.

The mileage is what makes it more than a parts list. Most 2019 F-150s are deep into six figures by now; 26,000 miles means the Coyote's bottom end went under boost with almost no wear behind it. Be realistic about living with it, too. A blown, lowered, rear-drive pickup on leaf springs turns rear tires into a consumable, the 10-speed is doing meaningful work behind that much torque, and boosted engines want fuel quality and service intervals taken seriously. None of that is a knock on the build; it's just the bill that comes with it. Nothing is published about the truck's title status or service records.

The fine print worth knowing

The Official Rules set the base rate at one entry per whole dollar spent, and allow the sponsor to declare bonus periods worth between two and ten entries per dollar.
