What you're looking at

Fanathem's October drawing, run with YouTube creator Auto Auction Rebuilds, puts up a 2016 Ram 1500 Rebel 4x4 crew cab. The operator lists it as a "2016 Dodge Ram Rebel," though Ram had been its own brand since 2010. The official rules describe the prize as "a 2016 Dodge Ram Rebel with approximately 162,000 miles" and give it an "Approximate retail value ('ARV') $12,999."

The operator's photos show a gray crew cab, and its captions point to the "Rebel and 4x4 tailgate badging, dual exhaust tips and Toyo Open Country A/T tires" out back and "Red-and-black seats with Rebel embroidery and red trim accents" inside. The number that matters most here is the odometer: at roughly 162,000 miles, this is a working truck with plenty of use behind it, not a garage queen.

Why the Rebel is worth a look

The Rebel arrived for 2015 as Ram's factory answer to the off-road half-ton crowd: a 1500 with standard four-corner air suspension at a raised ride height, Toyo all-terrains, its own blacked-out RAM grille and a red-accented cabin. It was the trail-styled Ram years before the TRX existed. 2016 Rebels came with either the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or the 5.7-liter HEMI V8; the operator doesn't say which one this truck has.

At this mileage the questions are maintenance questions. The air suspension is the Rebel's signature and its likeliest repair bill at this age: air springs, the compressor and the height sensors all wear out. If it's a HEMI, listen for the lifter tick the 5.7 is known for. On either engine, service records matter more than shine. The rules don't say whether the title is clean or branded.

The fine print worth knowing

  • Who runs it. The rules name the sponsor as Fanathem, Inc. of Morristown, New Jersey. They say the winner is picked in a random drawing run by "the Administrator," and the giveaway page says "A random winner is selected by our third-party sweepstakes company, American-Sweeps.com." The drawing is "on or about October 29, 2026."
  • How you get in. On the checkout page, a $49 Ram Rebel digital download earns 1 entry, a 2-pack for $79 earns 5, and a 4-pack for $99 earns 10. Three $49 collectibles (two mugs and a jettag, plus shipping) earn 1 entry each. The rules say a purchase earns one entry, or five to ten during Bonus Entry Periods the sponsor may announce. The Instagram/X route requires posting a photo of the limited-edition collectible, so it depends on a purchase.
  • The free route. One hand-printed 3x5 card mailed to the PO Box in Macedon, New York, earns one entry. Cards must be postmarked by October 23 and received by October 28, 2026, and each envelope has to be mailed separately. The rules set no limit on how many mail-in entries one person can send.
  • Who can enter. You must be 18 or older and a legal U.S. resident, including D.C. Residents of Alaska, Florida, Hawaii and New York cannot enter.
  • What arrives. The giveaway page says the "prize is delivered (up to 30 days after winner is notified)." The rules say the winner may need to show proof of insurance and "pick up vehicle as directed by Sponsor." They also make the winner pay for title, license, insurance, registration, taxes and any travel or transport to collect the truck. The truck comes as-is, with no warranty, and the rules warn it might not pass smog or safety inspection in some states. The winner also "must have proof of a valid USA driver’s license from his/her state of residence in the USA to take delivery of vehicle."
  • The ARV is a ceiling. The rules say that "If the actual value of the Prize is lower than the stated ARV when the Prize is procured," the difference is not paid. The sponsor can also swap in a prize of equal or greater value. There is no cash option.
  • Winner deadlines and taxes. The winner gets "twenty-four (24) hours" from the first notification attempt to respond, and has "within seven (7) days" to return a signed affidavit that asks for a Social Security number. The prize's value is reported on an IRS Form 1099: $12,999 of income, or about $2,860 of federal tax at a 22% bracket, before state tax.
  • Disputes. Disputes are governed by New Jersey law and must be brought individually, with no class actions.
  • Deadline. Entries close at 11:59:59 p.m. PST on October 23, 2026.

Why It's Special

The Rebel debuted for 2015 as Ram's factory off-road-styled half-ton (air suspension at a raised ride height, all-terrain tires, its own grille and red-accented interior), years before the TRX.

Our value estimate

$13,000

We anchor to the sponsor's stated ARV of $12,999 for this 2016 Ram 1500 Rebel with roughly 162,000 miles. We found no confirmed sold prices for 2016 Rebels within ±10% of that mileage. For context, current dealer asking prices in that band run about $14,500 to $18,900: 177,374 mi at $14,495, 164,095 mi at $17,950, 169,386 mi at $17,991 and 162,208 mi at $18,900. Those are asking prices on retail lots, which include markup, reconditioning and sometimes a warranty. This prize comes as-is, with collection, title and registration costs paid by the winner, so a figure at or slightly above the ARV is the honest read. The engine (V6 or HEMI), the title status and the condition of the air suspension aren't stated, and any of them would move the number. The rules also say that if the truck's actual value is below the $12,999 ARV when it's awarded, the difference is not paid.
