Gilmore's prize car is a black 1965 Corvette Stingray rebuilt as a pro-touring restomod, and the spec sheet leads with the detail that separates it from most LS-swapped C2s: the supercharged LSA is backed by a 5-speed manual. Blown big-inch swaps usually end up behind an automatic. This one didn't.

The LSA is the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 GM built for the CTS-V and the fifth-generation Camaro ZL1, and it does not fit under a stock 1965 hood — hence the custom hood the museum lists first among the car's highlights. Gilmore publishes no horsepower figure, which is the honest way to describe a swapped and retuned engine sitting in a chassis that weighs a fraction of what the LSA was originally bolted into.

The rest of the build hangs together. Wilwood six-piston brakes on drilled and slotted rotors, QA1 suspension with QA1 front control arms, and staggered Corvette ZR1 wheels wrapped in Nitto performance rubber cover the chassis. Cooling gets a Dewitts aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, and the museum also lists a rear-mounted radiator setup. The exhaust exits out the sides.

Inside it's custom red leather against the black paint, with a Dakota Digital cluster, an adjustable steering column, air conditioning, power windows and a custom sound system — the usable half of what pro-touring is meant to mean.

Who is running it

The sponsor is the Genevieve and Donald S Gilmore Foundation, EIN 386154163, operating as the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. The Official Rules name it as a 501(c)(3) and state the sweepstakes is being run to raise funds for the foundation. That is a different structure from most of the board here, where the operator is a company selling entries: the entry payment is a donation, and the museum itself — not a marketing partner or a promotions agency — is the sponsor named on the rules.

The fine print worth knowing

The prize depends on the sweepstakes raising $300,000. This is the most consequential line in the Official Rules and it does not appear on the promotional page. The rules make the prize — the Corvette, stated at an approximate value of $200,000, or $100,000 in cash — "Subject to a minimum of $300,000 in donation proceeds received during the Sweepstakes Entry Period." If the sweepstakes takes in less than that, the rules say the winner instead receives 25% of total donation proceeds. A drawing that raises $120,000 would pay its winner $30,000 rather than award the car. Nonprofit sweepstakes platforms include this clause routinely so that a slow campaign can't cost a charity more than it raises, but it changes what an entry is buying, and the number it turns on is not published anywhere on the entry page.

Washington State residents are not eligible. Entrants must be 18 or the age of majority where they live, whichever is older. Residents of OFAC-sanctioned countries and anyone on the Treasury Department's SDN List are excluded, as are Sponsor employees and their households and inmates of correctional facilities.

Donation tiers run from $25 to $2,000, and the rate improves as they climb. $25 buys 18 entries, or 0.72 entries per dollar; $2,000 buys 4,000, or 2.0 per dollar — roughly a 2.8× better rate at the top tier than the bottom. The full ladder is $25/18, $50/40, $100/90, $200/200, $350/400, $500/650, $1,000/1,750 and $2,000/4,000.

The free route is worth the same as the $25 tier. Eighteen entries, no donation. You request it on the sweepstakes site, print the mailer it generates, hand-address it and mail it to the Boulder, Colorado address. One request per envelope, no bulk shipments, postmarked inside the entry period and received within five business days after it closes. The exact wording is in the free-entry section on this page.

Entries close at 11:59 PM EST on December 20, 2026. The drawing is on or about noon EST on December 26 at the museum, and the winner does not need to be present.

Taxes land on the winner, which on a car with a $200,000 stated value is a real bill and the practical argument for taking the cash. Entering also commits you to mandatory binding arbitration and a class-action waiver under New York law, and the rules reserve the Sponsor's right to run a background check before awarding the prize.
