The build: a Bronco that stayed a Bronco
OVRLND's sixth giveaway truck is a 1970 Ford Bronco in silver over a re-upholstered black interior, and the spec sheet reads like a deliberate rejection of the Coyote-swap formula. The period-correct 302ci V8 stays put, breathing through an Edelbrock carburetor on a Performer intake with an MSD coil, a billet pulley kit, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan to keep temps civil. The gearbox is the real statement: a 3-speed manual shifted on the column -- the "3-on-the-tree" that nearly every restomod shop deletes first. Four-wheel drive and power steering round out the chassis, with Rancho suspension putting 32" BFGoodrich KO2s on 15" MB wheels under the arches.
The rest is equal parts show and usability: original fenders, a full chrome kit, a Tom's Bronco roll bar and Grant wheel, plus air conditioning, modern lighting, a retro-look Bluetooth receiver with a subwoofer, and a Rhino-lined floor you can hose out after a beach run. A full-size spare rides in the back.
Why it matters
First-gen Broncos are blue-chip vintage 4x4s now, and the market has split into six-figure modern-drivetrain builds and rough drivers. A freshly finished, period-correct truck that still drives like 1970 -- column shift, carburetor and all -- is the increasingly rare middle ground, and arguably the more honest way to own one. The $15,000 cash on top is a genuine sweetener: it cushions the tax bill that comes with any prize win, or funds a lot of fuel and KO2s.
The fine print worth knowing
The official rules put the total Grand Prize ARV at $75,000, truck plus cash. Entries work out to $1 = 10 entries, with one-time packs starting at $10 for 1,000 entries and monthly memberships from $20; purchases from the brand's Bronco merch collection earn entries at the same rate. The giveaway page lists online entries closing at 11:59pm PST on July 23rd, 2026, with the winner announcement on July 28th. No purchase is necessary: the rules provide a hand-printed mail-in route worth 100 entries per envelope, postmarked by July 28, 2026 and received by August 2 -- each envelope must be mailed individually, and full details are in the official rules. Open to US legal residents 18 and older. As with any 56-year-old truck, the winner should plan a nose-to-tail inspection on delivery -- mileage isn't published.

Why It's Special
First-generation (1966-77) Broncos have become blue-chip vintage 4x4s, and trucks that keep their factory-style drivetrain are getting scarce -- most restomod shops delete the column-shift 3-speed for an automatic or swap in a modern V8 first thing. This one retains a period-correct 302 with the 3-on-the-tree, plus its original fenders.
Our value estimate
$60,000
OVRLND's official rules put the total Grand Prize ARV at $75,000 including the $15,000 cash award, which implies roughly $60,000 in the truck itself -- that's our number. Recent sales bracket it rather than pin it: a driver-grade 1970 Bronco 302 with a very similar bolt-on recipe (Edelbrock carb, MSD ignition, lift, 15-inch wheels, roll cage) sold for $29,000 on Bring a Trailer in December 2025, while a sub-1,700-mile Coyote-swapped show build brought $154,000 at Mecum Houston in 2026. Directly comparable recent sales of freshly finished, period-correct 302/3-speed trucks are thin, so we widened the window to bracket the market; a full re-trim with A/C, chrome kit, and original fenders lands squarely between those poles, making $60k a defensible mid-market figure. The odometer reading isn't published, and actual miles and condition would move this number in either direction -- we anchor to the operator's stated ARV.
