The build: a first-year NBS Super Duty, then three more titles

2023 was year one for Ford's redesigned Super Duty — the "new body style" the OB46 name refers to — and this is the F-450 Platinum, the top of the one-ton dually range. Own Boss lists it at 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft, which is the standard-output tune of the 6.7-liter Power Stroke for that model year rather than the 500-hp, 1,200-lb-ft high-output version.

Cosmetically it has been gone through: an Innozetec Metallic Black Rose wrap with color-matched plastics, custom OEM headlights, painted tail lights, 20 white LED rock lights, and 35% on the windshield with 5% on the sides and rear. Underneath are a 2.5-inch BDS lift, Fox 2.0 shocks and dual steering stabilizers, TSO traction bars with a powder-coated mini cradle, and 24-inch American Force G17s wrapped in 37x13.50R24 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

Then the rest of it. A 2026 34-foot Load Trail tandem dually painted to match, with a stained wood deck, dual 10,000-lb Dexter axles and its own LED rock lights. A 2016 Cat 259D track loader — 1,640 hours, 74.3 hp. A 2015 Cat 303.5E2 mini excavator — 1,720 hours, 23.6 hp. Both machines carry enclosed heated and air-conditioned cabs, paint-matched bodywork and 20% tinted glass. One winner takes all four titles plus $20,000.

Why it matters

Most truck giveaways stop at the truck. This one is a working outfit: something to pull with, something to pull, and two machines with genuinely modest hours for their age — a 259D at 1,640 hours and a 303.5E2 at 1,720 hours are both a long way from used up, and the climate-controlled cabs are the option that actually matters if you run a machine all day.

Be clear-eyed about the truck, though. Thirty-sevens on 24-inch wheels look the part but leave almost no sidewall, which is a real consideration on a rig meant to scale a 34-foot gooseneck with a Cat on the deck. A wrap is not paint and has a service life. And traction bars on a lifted diesel dually tell you plainly what the driveline is being asked to absorb. It is also worth checking your own state's registration, weight and licensing rules before you hook onto that trailer loaded — a dually and a 34-foot tandem gooseneck is a different class of towing than a half-ton and a car hauler.

The fine print worth knowing

Entries are sold two ways: through merchandise in the Own Boss shop, where the cheapest item is a $25 wallet multi-tool, and through "Quick Entry" bundles at $75, $125 and $200. Read the entry counts carefully, because the rules and the checkout do not agree. The official rules state that each dollar spent earns one entry, while the store advertises roughly 60 entries per dollar on merchandise and up to 175 per dollar on the bundles — the $200 Platinum bundle is advertised at 35,000 entries against a rules cap of 40,000 entries per participant. There is no bonus-entry schedule in the rules that explains the gap.

The free route is a mail-in: a hand-written 3x5 card with your details, one entry per envelope, no photocopies, mailed to the administrator's address in Pittsford, New York, postmarked between August 10 and September 28, 2026 and received by October 3. Each valid mailed card is worth 75 entries — a number to weigh against what the store advertises for a purchase. The full text is in the official rules.

Entry closes at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on September 27, 2026, with the drawing set for October 7. Eligibility runs to 47 states plus D.C. and Canada — Hawaii, Alaska and Michigan are out — and unusually, the rules require a valid driver's license as of the date of entry. On taxes: the sponsor puts the package at $190,200, and the included $20,000 is a down payment on that federal bill, not a solution to it. One more thing to keep straight: Own Boss is running a second, separate sweepstakes also badged OB46, for a 2018 JCB 3CX backhoe, on its own shorter calendar. Entering one is not entering the other, and the promotion dates printed alongside the truck belong to the backhoe.

Why It's Special

2023 was the first model year of Ford's redesigned Super Duty — the "new body style" the OB46 name plays on — and the F-450 Platinum sits at the top of the one-ton dually range. Full color-change wraps over a 24-inch American Force setup are common enough in the show-truck world; what is unusual here is the pairing, with the truck, the gooseneck and both Cat machines all finished to the same paint scheme as a single matched outfit rather than four separately sourced lots.

Our value estimate

$170,200

Own Boss publishes a line-item value in the OB46 rules: $75,500 for the F-450, $40,000 for the Cat 259D, $35,000 for the Cat 303.5E2, $19,700 for the Load Trail and $20,000 in cash — $190,200 all in. The $170,200 figure here is that package with the cash stripped out and listed separately as an extra. The line items largely hold up. Used 2023 F-450 Platinums are averaging roughly $85,700 nationally with asking prices starting near $77,400, and a 57,260-mile example was listed at $86,710 this summer — so the $75,500 assigned to the truck sits at or just below the market floor, which is what you would expect from a truck carrying real miles. The odometer is not published anywhere on the giveaway page or in the rules, and it would move this number more than any other single input. Cat 259D track loaders trade from about $22,000 to $76,500 depending on hours, with a 2,800-hour unit asking $39,500, so $40,000 for a 1,640-hour machine with a heated and air-conditioned cab is fair to conservative. Cat 303.5E2 mini excavators typically run $28,000–$53,000 with an average near $37,250, putting the $35,000 tag on the 1,720-hour unit right on the money. The trailer is the one line that leans rich — a new 34-foot dual-10,000-lb-axle Load Trail is usually a mid-teens purchase before the paint-match, stained deck and lighting work. And be realistic about the truck's build: the wrap, 24s, lift and traction bars cost far more to install than they return on resale.
