Win a 2026 Ford F-250 Super Duty Lariat — or $100,000 Cash (Reed's Cattle Co.)

Reed's Cattle Company spent the summer photographing a brand-new Ford F-250 Super Duty Lariat and offering the keys — while the official rules put every entry into one pooled $100,000 cash drawing shared with a dozen unrelated brands, a drawing whose thirteen named winners have all taken the check.

The truck on the build page

Reed's Cattle Company is a Show Low, Arizona outfit that sells ranch-raised beef, western apparel and cowboy hat racks under the tagline "Cuttin' Nuts & Branding Butts." Its summer promotion lived on one page, and that page was mostly photographs: a brand-new Ford Super Duty shot from sixteen angles, inside and out, under a headline promising to hand over the keys.

The truck is an F-250 Super Duty Lariat — the trim where Super Duty stops being a work truck and starts being a nice one. Leather, the big center screen, the trailering electronics, and, if it is specified that way, Ford's 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel. That last item matters more than anything else on the window sticker, because it is the difference between a truck that lists in the high seventies and one that lists in the low nineties.

What Reed's never published was a spec sheet. No engine, no cab or bed length, no rear axle ratio, no paint code, no build sheet. The page carried photos, three icons, and a mechanic: every dollar spent in the store — a $25 enamel mug, a $35 tee, a $999 half beef — earns an entry.

Why the rules read differently than the pitch

Reed's is not the sponsor of this sweepstakes. The official rules name Shared Sweeps LLC of Sheridan, Wyoming as sponsor and National Sweepstakes Company, LLC of Newark, New York as the independent administrator. Shared Sweeps is a platform that, in its own words, "runs one large, shared $100,000 sweepstakes across multiple participating brands." During the same window Reed's was showing the F-250, the other logos on that platform included Cirkul, Caraway Home, Pair of Thieves, Fresh Clean Threads, Cariloha, Nine Line Apparel and Gas Monkey Garage. All of them fed the same drum.

That changes what an entry buys. Money spent at Reed's does not enter a Reed's truck drawing; it enters the pooled drawing, and the rules define the grand prize as a $100,000 check or the grand prize being offered by the business entity coinciding with the winner's entry. The truck is the alternative to the check, at the winner's election, and only if the winning entry happened to come through Reed's rather than through a cookware brand or a sock company.

The published record on that election is one-sided. The platform's own winners page names thirteen grand-prize and monthly winners, and every prize listed is cash. Reed's winners page tells the same story in miniature: the two most recent grand-prize winners it displays, Greg from Seattle and Kaitlyn, both took the $100,000 cash rather than a vehicle — and the platform credits those same two winners, Greg S. of Seattle and Kaitlin M. of Montague, New Jersey, to Fresh Clean Threads and Cirkul respectively, not to Reed's.

One thing deserves saying plainly, because it cuts the other way: Reed's has handed over real vehicles. Its winners page documents a 1941 Chevrolet pickup to Marian in New Mexico, a 1952 Chevrolet Stepside to Ronald Murphy, a 1948 Ford F-2 to Doug H. of Rochelle, Texas, a 4x4 Honda Rancher to Madeline C. in Missouri and a Can-Am Commander to Steve and Deeadra in Arizona, alongside $14,000 and $12,000 cash awards. Those read as in-house giveaways run before the company moved onto the shared platform. The truck promotions since are a structurally different product, and the page does not distinguish between the two.

The fine print worth knowing

The prize is electable, and the election has always gone to cash. The operative clause makes the grand prize "a $100,000USD check or the Grand Prize being offered by the business entity coinciding with the Grand Prize Winner's entry." In plain arithmetic: an F-250 Lariat comping around $83,000 against a $100,000 check, with the winner choosing. Thirteen named winners, thirteen checks.

The rules Reed's publishes on its own domain are two cycles behind. The page titled "Reeds Cattle Giveaway Official Rules" describes a sweepstakes period running December 3, 2025 to March 5, 2026 — a promotion that closed six months before this one did. The build page itself says "check our full rules for details" without linking to any rules document at all.

Entries and the free route. Purchases convert at one entry per dollar, and the cheapest item in the catalog is $25, so the practical floor is 25 entries for $25. The rules also carry a no-purchase route: a plain 4x6 postcard, handprinted in black ink, mailed to PO Box 429 in Newark, New York, worth ten entries per card, with multipliers for writing DOUBLE, MULTIPLIER or SSP in the specified corners. The postmark deadline sat about a week ahead of the close, which is ordinary administration — the administrator needs physical cards in hand before the drum spins.

Eligibility and taxes. Across this platform's cycles the rules open entry to legal residents of the fifty states and DC who are 18 or older (19 in Alabama and Nebraska, 21 in Mississippi) and to legal residents of Canada excluding Quebec. Either prize is ordinary income to the winner: a $100,000 check generates a five-figure federal bill before any state takes its share, and a truck generates the same bill without the cash to pay it — which is a large part of why every winner so far has taken the money.

Status. Entries closed 9/10/26. As of this writing Reed's has posted no winner for this run; the site reads only that the giveaway is over and a winner will be announced.

TrimLariat

Why It's Special

None to speak of, and that is not a criticism. A Lariat-trim Super Duty is a volume truck — Ford builds them by the tens of thousands, and the trim sits in the middle of the Super Duty ladder above XLT and below King Ranch. The interesting variable is the drivetrain, which Reed's never published: a gas 6.8 or 7.3 V8 Lariat and a 6.7 Power Stroke Lariat are separated by roughly fifteen thousand dollars and a very different towing brochure. Nothing here is collectible; it is a working truck whose appeal is that it is new, under warranty, and expensive to buy yourself.

Our value estimate

$83,000

Reed's never published a truck-specific ARV. The governing sweepstakes rules cap the grand prize at $100,000 and make it electable as either a $100,000 check or the prize offered by the participating business — so $100,000 is the cash figure, not an appraisal of the truck, and the car-alone number has to be built from comps. Working from current new-inventory listings for a 2026 F-250 Super Duty Lariat 4x4 crew cab (September 2026): $78,101 at Planet Ford Dallas, $81,415 at Sedano Ford in La Mesa, CA, and $81,819 at Ford of Kirkland, WA, with higher-optioned examples reaching $84,279 in Lexington, KY and $93,146 at AutoNation Ford Arapahoe in Centennial, CO. Median of the recent in-band listings lands around $82,000; we have used $83,000 to allow for the diesel and 4x4 configuration the build-page photos suggest. Two caveats a reader should carry: the engine, cab and bed configuration are unpublished, and that single variable moves this figure by roughly $15,000 in either direction; and because the winner may elect the $100,000 check instead, the cash option is worth meaningfully more than the metal in nearly every configuration.

Editorial estimate based on recent comparable sales — not an appraisal.
