What you're looking at
This is a tuner's own car, which is a different proposition from the usual giveaway build farmed out to a shop nobody has heard of. RK-Tunes is a West Babylon, New York outfit that has spent the S58 era chasing big numbers out of BMW's closed-deck 3.0-liter twin-turbo six, and Giveaway #5 is a 2023 M3 — badged "Competition X" on their page — wearing their own work.
The hardware list is the interesting part. Modified T51R turbochargers replace the factory units, fed by an MHD flex-fuel setup and an in-house RK-Tunes calibration. The operator quotes 700+ WHP in the headline and 750+ WHP on the spec block, with 680 lb-ft, a 2.6-second 0-60 and a 9.8-second quarter mile. Those are wheel-horsepower claims on a car with real turbo upgrades, which is a genuinely achievable window for a built S58 on corn — not a fantasy number bolted onto a stock car.
Cosmetically it is Techno Violet, a BMW Individual color rather than an off-the-shelf M3 shade, with carbon fiber front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser and trunk spoiler over forged chrome wheels. Inside: black Merino leather, carbon bucket seats, and a custom steering wheel with RK-Tunes paddle shifters.
Why it matters
The G80 M3 has already settled into being the fastest way to embarrass much more expensive machinery, and the S58 is the reason. It is an overbuilt motor by modern standards, and the aftermarket has spent five years proving there is enormous headroom above the factory's conservative boost target. A car with upgraded turbos and a flex-fuel tune is operating in territory the platform was clearly engineered to reach but never sold in.
The color is the sleeper detail. Techno Violet on a G80 is an Individual order — a heritage E36 M3 shade that BMW brought back for the 50 Jahre Edition, and one you effectively cannot spec on a used-lot car. On a platform where the vast majority of examples are white, black or Isle of Man Green, a purple one with genuine build credibility behind it is a car people remember.
Be honest about the caveats, though. Big-boost S58s ask more of the clutch packs, the driveshaft and the cooling system than any stock Competition ever will, and flex fuel means you need to actually source E85 to see the headline figure. Neither the odometer nor the service history is published, and on a car making this kind of power both matter more than they would on a stock one.
The fine print worth knowing
Entries start at $20 for 2,200, and the site runs a tiered multiplier that climbs with the pack — the advertised "110x entries per $1" is the floor tier, not the universal rate. The larger packs run $40/8,000, $60/18,000, $100/35,000, $200/80,000 and $500/225,000, which works out to 200x, 300x, 350x, 400x and 450x per dollar respectively.
There is a genuine free route. The official rules print a mail-in address and it runs to the same deadline as paid entries: postmarked by September 9, 2026, received by September 14, 2026. Each mailed envelope is worth five entries, and the rules require each envelope be mailed individually — no bulk shipments — so free entrants can send as many separate envelopes as they are willing to stamp. The exact wording and address are in the operator's official rules, reproduced in the free-entry section of this listing.
The structural details are unusually clean for this corner of the market. The sponsor is a named entity with a street address (RK-Tunes, Inc., 160 Cabot St, West Babylon, NY 11704), and the drawing is run by a third-party administrator, American Sweepstakes & Promotion Co., Inc. of Rochester, New York — not self-judged. Four previous winners are named on the site: Vlad V., Austin M., Daniel R. and Steven K.
One thing to budget for: the rules state plainly that the winner is responsible for all local, state and federal taxes, and that an IRS Form 1099 will be filed for the value of the prize. On a $95,000 ARV that is a real bill — the $10,000 cash portion exists largely to soften it, and depending on your bracket and state it may not cover the whole thing. Entry closes at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on September 9, 2026, with the drawing on or about September 15.

Why It's Special
Techno Violet is a BMW Individual paint, not a standard M3 color — a heritage E36 M3 shade revived for the G80 and carrying roughly a $4,500 option premium when ordered new. It is also one of the five colors offered on the 500-unit US 50 Jahre Edition, and the operator's own feature list references "Jahre" carbon bucket seats alongside black Merino leather, so this is a rare-spec car regardless of how it left the factory. Cars with genuinely built turbochargers on the S58 remain a small slice of the G80 population; most tuned examples stop at a piggyback tune and downpipes.
Our value estimate
$85,000
RK-Tunes states a Grand Prize ARV of $95,000, and their own official rules break that into the 2023 BMW M3 Competition X plus a $10,000 cash award — so the car by itself is their $85,000, and that is the figure used here. Stock-market comps sit well below it: recent market data for the 2023 M3 Competition shows an average around $64,000 and a high sale of about $74,000 in June 2026, with the wider G80 Competition pool bottoming near $46,000 in August 2026. The spread is the build. Modified T51R turbos, a flex-fuel tune, full carbon aero and forged wheels represent real money in parts and labor, and the Individual paint adds to the sticker — but modified cars historically recoup only a fraction of what was spent on them, and a 700-plus-wheel S58 narrows the resale buyer pool even as it widens the grin. The odometer, model-year service history and drivetrain are not published, and on a car boosted this hard the mileage in particular would move this number meaningfully; with no stated odometer these are market averages rather than mileage-matched sales. Read $85,000 as the operator's own number held up against a stock market in the $65,000–$75,000 range — an estimate, not an appraisal.
