What you're looking at
A 1970 Chevrolet C30: the one-ton, dual-rear-wheel end of the 1967-72 "Action Line" C/K range, rebuilt as a street truck instead of restored as a work truck. The original small-block is gone. In its place is a fuel-injected GM Vortec 6000 - the 6.0-liter iron-block truck V-8 - which Dream Giveaway rates at approximately 360 horsepower, backed by a 3-speed automatic. Cooling comes from an aluminum radiator and an electric fan, the gauges are digital, the taillights are LED, and the exhaust leaves through a custom side-exit dual system with a mild-to-wild active setup. Inside, TMI's Sport XR seats and panels in red and black stand in for the vinyl bench a C30 left Flint with.
What did not change is the part that gives the truck its whole character: 10-lug big-rig axles and dual rear wheels, under a red long-bed body. It is a shape that reads as commercial vehicle from a hundred yards and as a show truck from ten.
Why it matters
The 1967-72 C/K is the most restomodded pickup in America, but the volume is almost entirely C10 short-beds - lowered, LS-swapped, big-brake, wheel-tucked. Duallies get skipped, because they are heavier, harder to make look right, and nobody builds a one-ton to carve canyons. That is exactly why this one stands out. A dual-rear-wheel C30 with a modern EFI V-8 and a finished interior is a genuinely uncommon object, and the Action Line's flat-sided bodywork wears the extra width better than almost any truck of the era.
Be honest with yourself about what a one-ton is, though. A 3-speed automatic means no overdrive, so highway cruising happens at rpm a modern truck driver will find loud and thirsty - the active exhaust is going to be doing a lot of work on a long run. Six rear tires cost what six rear tires cost, the turning circle is a one-ton's turning circle, and the C30's leaf-sprung chassis rides like the load-hauler it was engineered to be, whatever seats you put in it. This is a truck to cruise, park at a show, and tow with - not a fast street machine wearing extra wheels. Dream Giveaway does not publish mileage, a VIN, or a builder's receipt file, so the usual restomod due diligence - who did the swap, how the wiring and fuel system were done, whether the brakes were updated to match the power - is worth asking about if you win.
The fine print worth knowing
The $11,000 is withholding money, not a tax bill paid in full. Dream Giveaway's own footnote reads: "*Amounts shown for TAXES apply to payment on behalf of winner for IRS withholding requirement, additional taxes may be owed." In plain numbers: at our $50,000 estimate for the truck plus $11,000 in cash, the reportable prize is roughly $61,000, and the IRS's 24% withholding rate on that is about $14,600. The $11,000 covers most of it. The remainder - plus whatever your own marginal bracket, your state's income tax, and the title, registration and insurance on a one-ton dually add - comes out of your pocket.
No value is published. Neither the giveaway page nor the official rules states a retail value or ARV for the truck, which is unusual for a prize this specific. The figure on this page is our estimate from comparable sales, not the operator's number.
Dates and entry. The official rules put the window at August 21, 2026 through October 22, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time, with a winner selected on or about November 4, 2026. Donations start at $3.00. The sponsor is New Beginning Children's Homes, Inc., a 501(c)(3), and odds are one divided by the total number of tickets issued - no cap is published, so the field size is unknowable until it closes.
Free entry and eligibility. There is a no-purchase route: a handwritten self-addressed, postage-paid envelope mailed to the address in the official rules returns an entry code, with Vermont residents exempt from the return postage. Entry is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada except Quebec, plus other countries where permitted, age 18 and up - worth reading if you are outside the U.S., because the marketing doesn't repeat the carve-out.

Why It's Special
C30 duallies were bought to work, not to be kept, so clean 1967-72 one-tons are thin on the ground before you get anywhere near a restomod. Dream Giveaway describes this one as a one-of-a-kind custom build; there is no factory "dually restomod" trim to compare it against, and the dual-rear-wheel, 10-lug configuration puts it in a corner of the Action Line market that almost nobody builds to this level.
Our value estimate
$50,000
Dream Giveaway does not publish a retail value or ARV for this truck anywhere on the giveaway page or in the rules, so this figure is built from comparable sales rather than an operator number. The relevant market is small: classic.com's 1967-72 C30 pool averages about $21,419, and TheClassicValuer puts a C30 dually in average condition around GBP 14,517 (roughly $18,500) - those are stock and work-grade trucks. The custom end of the same market is where this one lives: the highest recorded C30 dually result is a 1973 C30 Dually Camper Special custom pickup at $55,000 (January 2024), TheClassicValuer's high-water mark is about GBP 44,127 (roughly $56,000), and the floor sits at $4,730 for a 1971 C30 dually flatbed (May 2025). Fewer than three restomod-specific dually sales exist in the public record, so the band is drawn from the top of the custom C30 results rather than a tight three-comp set. A purpose-built EFI restomod belongs near that ceiling, but a dual-rear-wheel one-ton does not command what a C10 short-bed restomod does, which caps the number well short of six figures. One indirect cross-check: the $11,000 Dream Giveaway has earmarked for federal withholding equals 24% of about $46,000 - the same neighborhood. Mileage and any build documentation are unpublished, and both would move this number in either direction; a fresh build with a few hundred shakedown miles is worth meaningfully more than a driven one.
