What you're looking at
OVRLND's latest giveaway is a 1986 Toyota Pickup XtraCab 4x4 that has been through what the operator calls a comprehensive frame-off restoration: body removed from the chassis, frame stripped and refinished end to end, undercarriage refinished, chassis hardware renewed, and a three-stage repaint in factory white with a color-matched spray-in bedliner. It keeps its original fuel-injected 22R-E four, serviced along with the rest of the powertrain, backed by an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, with factory air conditioning and power steering. The cab is restored in brown and tan with new factory-style seat upholstery, carpeting and headliner, a restored dash and an Apple CarPlay head unit. The period look comes from Ivan Stewart-inspired graphics, a roll bar, off-road lighting, gloss-black powder-coated bumpers and black-and-chrome wheels on 31-inch Mickey Thompson tires, all at a factory stock-style ride height. OVRLND names SoCal Vintage, a classic-Toyota restoration shop, and MULE Expedition Outfitters as its build partners.
One naming wrinkle: the page title reads “1986 Toyota Pickup XtraCab 4WD DLX”, the description calls the truck “a frame-off restored 1986 Toyota Pickup XtraCab SR5 4WD”, the headline says “Win A 1986 Toyota SR5 Xtra-Cab”, and the official rules say only “a 1986 Toyota pick-up”. DLX and SR5 were separate trim levels in 1986, the SR5 being the better-equipped of the two, so treat the trim as unconfirmed.
The same winner also takes a Buscadero BSX 140 pit bike (140cc, four-speed manual with a manual clutch, electric start, front and rear disc brakes) and a $15,000 cash award.
Why it matters
The 1986 model year is a line in the sand for Toyota's compact 4x4: it was the first to swap the solid front axle for independent front suspension, trading some rock-crawling toughness for a far better ride on pavement. The 22R-E is the fuel-injected version of the 2.4-liter four that earned these trucks their reputation for running forever, and the XtraCab body adds the space behind the seats that the regular cab never had. The graphics nod to Ivan Stewart, whose Toyota desert-racing trucks gave the brand its off-road credibility in the '80s. Clean 1984-88 Toyota pickups have made the jump from used trucks to collector pieces, and a freshly restored one is hard to find.
What to weigh: the odometer reading isn't given on the giveaway page or in the rules, a four-cylinder automatic on 31-inch tires will be leisurely, and on any 22R-E the timing-chain guides are the classic wear item.
The fine print worth knowing
OVRLND's Official Rules put the Approximate Retail Value of the whole Grand Prize (truck, pit bike and cash) at $94,000, and add: “If the actual value of a Prize is lower than the stated ARV when a Prize is procured and fulfilled, then the difference will not be awarded.” An IRS Form 1099 is filed for the value of the Prize, the winner's affidavit asks for a Social Security number, and the $15,000 cash can go toward that tax bill. The truck is awarded as-is with no warranty, registration and licensing costs fall to the winner, and the rules warn that the “Prize vehicle may not meet safety or emissions testing required in some states”. The giveaway page says “We will fly you to Utah to see your prize, pocket your cash, and can even ship you your car all within days of acceptance!” The rules say nothing about travel or delivering the truck, and state that “All other expenses associated with Prize acceptance or usage not mentioned herein are the sole responsibility of the Winner.”
The giveaway page says “Ends 11:59pm PST Dec 3rd 2026”, but the official rules end the Sweepstakes Period at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on December 3, 2026, three hours earlier. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by December 3, 2026, and received by December 8, 2026. American Sweepstakes & Promotion Co., Inc., a third-party administrator, conducts the random drawing on or about December 9, 2026, and OVRLND's page lists its past winners by first name, last initial and state. The potential winner must return an affidavit “within seven (7) days of the date of notice or attempted notice is sent” and can be disqualified for not responding “within three (3) business days from the first notification attempt”; disputes “shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action”.
Purchases earn “ten (10) entries into the Sweepstakes for every whole dollar spent” (a $10 enamel mug in the shop carries 100 entries). There are two free routes: a hand-printed mail-in card is worth 100 entries, and a review of OVRLND on Google or Facebook, emailed in with a screenshot, earns 300 entries per site, up to 600. The rules also let OVRLND announce Bonus Entry Periods; a mail-in postmarked during one gets the same multiplier as purchases, provided the entrant writes the multiplier on the back of the envelope, and listing the wrong period means “the entry will be disqualified”. Entry is open to legal U.S. residents 18 or older (or the age of majority in their state).

Why It's Special
1986 was the first model year of Toyota's independent-front-suspension 4x4 pickup, and this XtraCab keeps its original fuel-injected 22R-E. Restored 1984-88 Toyota 4x4s have crossed from used-truck territory into collector money, and a fresh frame-off example is a rare find.
Our value estimate
$94,000
For a package prize this figure is the whole Grand Prize, anchored to OVRLND's Official Rules, which put its Approximate Retail Value at $94,000 for the restored 1986 Toyota pickup, a Buscadero BSX 140 pit bike and a $15,000 cash award. Backing out the cash and the pit bike's $3,299 list price on Buscadero's own site leaves roughly $75,700 attributed to the truck, far above what these trucks bring at auction. The three most recent 1986 XtraCab 4x4 sales we found were ordinary drivers, not frame-off restorations: a Deluxe XtraCab 4x4 at $15,750 (February 2026, Hagerty past-sales record), a five-speed XtraCab 4x4 at $17,000 (Cars & Bids, February 2025) and a 168,000-mile Deluxe XtraCab 4x4 at $8,000 (Bring a Trailer, March 2024). At the top of the market, Hagerty's 2023 price guide put a concours-condition 1985 SR5 4x4 at $34,800, and a restored 1983 SR5 4x4 has sold for $55,000. The gap comes down to condition and cost: this is a fresh frame-off build valued at retail replacement, not an auction estimate, and the odometer reading isn't given, so no mileage-matched comparison is possible. With no comparable frame-off sale to set against it, we defer to the operator's figure rather than override it.
